Every individual is expected to follow the beliefs and traditions associated with their spiritual religion. There are several faiths, but this study will concentrate on two: Buddhism and Hinduism. Because these two faiths originated in the exact location, they share specific terminology. It is stated to be a strong belief in a mystical power operating in a supernatural condition. Their methods, however, differ in their aims, although they share many thoughts. As a result, the following discussion includes comparisons and contractions between these two religions and contrasts in their childhoods and upbringing.

To begin with, the two faiths have similar ideas in that they both believe in rebirth, which is decided by one’s daily needs. This is the place where the individual’s soul rebirths into any living form. They both think that each individual must work out his salvation, contingent on his good acts. Based on enlightenment, they both believe that it is possible to achieve it through rising above one’s way of thinking and wants, as well as regulating one’s six senses.

It is a general idea that too much attachment to people and worldly things causes misery; both thus advise liberating oneself from the illusions of earthly wants. Meditation is a common emphasis in both faiths since it delivers an individual, improves attention in life, and leads to enlightenment. They also engage in tantric rituals.

There are certain inconsistencies in their views, such as that in Buddhism, divine figures are not involved in their belief based on the original doctrinal ideas, despite the inclusion of Godly figures by subsequent believers. In Hinduism, on the other hand, 300,000 Gods are worshipped. These two faiths vary in their underpinnings, which are referred to as their infancy condition. There is no absolute knowledge about who or where Hinduism originated. It is also thought that this religion arose from the Vedas, which were written around 1000 years before Christ, although they had been in existence for a long time but in oral form.

There is total clarity in Buddhism as to who established it- the Siddartha Gautama, also known as Buddha. He did not start a separate religion at first since he had departed for meditation to alter Hinduism. He became Buddha as his answer, thereby laying the groundwork for Buddhism. In Hinduism, elaborate rituals are conducted from birth to death, and priests play an essential part in carrying out these responsibilities.

On the other hand, Buddhism performs similar rites in worship forms without the assistance of a priest. Hinduism adheres to the caste system and believes in extreme austerity, but Buddhism opposes the caste system and rejects extreme asceticism. In Buddhism, there are no steps that one needs to go through in life, and one is free to join any depending on one’s readiness. In contrast, in Hinduism, there are four stages that one must go through in life, and they are as follows: student, family, leaving of worldly desires, and meditation stage awaiting truth and death.

Finally, despite their differences, the two religions play significant roles in the lives of those who practice them. Both Hinduism and Buddhism have their roots in the Indian subcontinent. In many respects, they are known to have a lengthy yet weird and uncomfortable relationship. The Buddha was born into a Hindu household, and many think he developed a large following because he liberated people from the tyranny of the Hindu caste system. Religion introduced redemption, hope as well as freedom of choice into society. Hinduism may not be considered a religion in its whole but rather a collection of sectarian and religious organizations connected by certain essentially similar beliefs, origins, and habits of their descendants.
