Haircare can be difficult at times due to various variables such as weather, pollution, lack of care, and a bad diet. Grey hair appears in most men and women before they reach their 30s. Hair loss and premature greying are caused by two key factors: stress and nutritional insufficiency.

Although your hair will naturally grey as you get older, you may prevent premature greying by leading a healthy lifestyle. Aside from a well-balanced diet, various DIY hair packs can aid in the reduction of grey hair.

Dr. Monica Kapoor, a celebrity cosmetologist and head of FLAWLESS Cosmetic clinics and ILACAD Institute, speaks with Health Shots.

Hair pack with amla
Amla is a well-known superfood high in vitamin C and can help increase immunity and prevent cellular damage. “Amla contains calcium and decreases oxidative stress, which helps to promote hair health and cure premature grey hair,” explains Dr. Kapoor.

Take a bundle of curry leaves and grind them with two teaspoons of amla powder and two tablespoons of Brahmi powder to prepare the hair pack. Hair mask, covering the roots completely.

Pack of potato hair
Potatoes are high in antioxidants, which may color the hair and conceal grey strands. On the other hand, Yogurt is a fantastic probiotic that can aid with hair health and prevent premature greying.

Boil some potatoes in a pan that has been heated. Strain the water and set the potatoes aside after a few minutes. Take three tablespoons of curd and three tablespoons of potato liquid to produce a potato and curd mask. Then, add three tablespoons of curd to the potato liquid and thoroughly mix it. Then, apply it to your hair strands and scalp for grey hair strands, and rinse it off after a few minutes.

Hair pack with Tulsi
Natural DIY hair masks made with tulsi and black tea effectively cover grey hair strands. Tulsi is an excellent source of vitamin C and has long been used in Ayurvedic medicine to alleviate hair issues. On the other hand, Black tea contains tannic acid, which can darken hair.
Take black tea leaves and tulsi leaves to prepare this hair pack. Then, combine four tablespoons of grounded black tea with 4-5 tulsi leaves in a pan and bring to a boil. After that, let it cool before washing your hair with it. To deepen your grey hair, use this mask twice a week.
