Neutrality – Understand what this term means on International Day of Neutrality. International Day of Neutrality is the observance day of the United Nations Organization. The UN General Assembly officially declared it. Resolution adopted in Feb 2017. In reality, a neutral country is a state that abstains from participation in any war between states and maintains a positive attitude of being impartial towards citizens. The UN assembly well defines the rights and duties of the neutral country.’

The neutral power of the country. 

Although Switzerland was the first country to declare permanent Neutrality in 1815, Turkmenistan was the first state who developed Neutrality according to the UN assembly. The policy of Neutrality adopted by some states is basically to build peace and security for the nation and the development of peace and friendly relations within the countries in the world. This day is observed on the 12th of December every year since 2017 to mark the nations’ value of consensus. 

Neutrality is the tendency not to get into any conflict. A neutral position is a platform for all opinions. The UN wants the merger of every country into a peaceful world. Global world peace is the aim of the UN to be achieved by all countries worldwide. This is to keep the future generation happy and for betterment. So Let’s make the world a better place to live in by maintaining Neutrality in our behavior and maintaining world peace.

Designated by the United Nations, Neutrality Day aims at promoting the use of preventive diplomacy to help nations settle disputes by peaceful means without the use of force. This is a day to raise awareness of Neutrality’s value for every country’s mutual benefit around the world. This keeps society healthy in a positive frame of mind and helps for development and productivity. So let’s be a part of a healthy nation, a neutral country.
