‘It’s time to go home,’ says Spicejet pilot in the heartfelt announcement

Amid heartbreaking photos and scandalous stories from Ukraine, a video of an announcement made by the pilot of a Spicejet flight evacuating Indians is inspiring people to salute the airlines and, in particular, the pilot of the flight that took off from Budapest, Hungary.

Spicejet tweeted the footage with the caption, “#SpiceJet just evacuated our trapped customers on our first flight from #Ukraine.” We’re on our way back to #India. Their positivity encouraged us to believe that additional SG flights will aid more Indians affected by the violence.”

So far, the video has gotten over 3,000 times. “Congratulations, @flyspicejet!! “Wishing you more strength (and the best of luck in business,” one user replied.

The government of India has initiated an operation named ‘Operation Ganga’ to remove stranded Indians from Ukraine. Under this agreement, India has already successfully returned over 1,000 nationals from the war-torn country. It has also established 24-hour control centers to aid in the evacuation of Indians over the frontiers of Hungary, Poland, Romania, and the Slovak Republic.
Meanwhile, the Indian embassy in Kyiv issued a new warning on Wednesday, urging all Indians to leave the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv immediately.
