Jahan Numa Palace Hotel’s Chef Jeewan Singh competes against Chef Girish Sangpal of Maharashtra
Zee Café’s Chef Vs Fridge is known for its intense battles between the professional and experienced chefs. Paired with the challenges thrown by the judges and the boss chiller, these battles prove to be a must-watch for all culinary lovers. This week, Chef Vs Fridge has a unique theme based on India’s rich coastline which comes with unique food options and styles. The judges give the contestants a challenge to present their final plate incorporating dishes from at least 4 coastal regions. The audiences are in for a treat riding on the experience of the contesting chefs – Chef Jeewan Singh, the Executive Chef of Jahan Numa Palace and Chef Girish Sankpal, Assistant Professor, Anjuman-I-Islam’s Institute Of Hotel Management.
Speaking about his hotel- Jahan Numa Palace Chef Jeewan Singh mentioned, “There are secret recipes that are passed within the generations in a royal family. In Jahan Numa Palace, we send our Chefs to learn these nitty grittys from the royal chefs which are then incorporated. I have learnt a lot there and that experience helps me make my dishes better. About his experience on Chef Vs Fridge, he mentioned, “This was quite unique. Preparing a dish within a limited time span along with competing against the challenges was a thrilling experience and I am happy to have got a chance to be a part of the show.”
Chef Girish Sangpal, who is a celebrity chef in Maharashtra owing to his various Television and social appearances mentioned, “Challenges are always good and I love competing in pressure. This was my first reality show and a very different experience. The coastal concept of the episode cheered me up as I had the chance to showcase different cuisines. I enjoyed a lot while working on my final dish.”
