Hepatitis is a disease wherein the liver is affected. Did you know over 1.4 million people in the world are affected by this disease every year? According to WHO, after tuberculosis, Hepatitis is the second major killer. On July 28, i.e., today, we observe world hepatitis day to spread awareness about symptoms, causes, and treatments for this dangerous disease.

This day we cannot avoid remembering Dr. Amarapurakar, who practiced in Bombay Hospital, and in hepatology, he was considered a world authority. He diagnosed the liver but always was cheerful to his patients. He always calmed them down by saying it won’t long forever. Considering Hepatitis is such a severe disease, he treated his patients with more comfort and great advice. We lost one of India’s foremost gastroenterologists, Dr. Amarapurakar, in flood in the year 2017. But all his patients and their families miss him as he was the one who saved them.

Today, when so many factors threaten human life, it is indispensable to observe such days and make people aware of its dangerous repercussions on society. So, on today’s occasion, we at Prittle Prattle ask you to spread awareness about this disease, thereby saving lives! Let’s love the ones who are affected and diffuse the knowledge to your loved and dear ones to avoid disturbing their liver.

Prittle Prattle News wishes you a happy World hepatitis day, spread the word!
