MediBuddy, Maximum consultations were from young adults aged 20 to 29
MediBuddy, India’s largest digital healthcare portal, has seen an 81% growth in mental health queries, indicating a growing need for a healthy emotional lifestyle.
Emotional, cognitive, and social well-being all contribute to an individual’s mental health, impacting their stress response, decision-making, and interaction with others.
Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru are the top seven cities that are aware of health concerns and actively seek to address them, in that order, followed by Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Indore, Jaipur, Kanpur, Madurai, Mysore, Nagpur, Pune, Surat, Thiruvananthapuram, and Visakhapatnam.
The statistics obtained for psychological counselling reveals that 73% of queries come from men and 27% from women.
The majority of the inquiries (57%), came from young adults aged 20 to 29, with 25% coming from people aged 30 to 39, and 11% coming from people aged 40 to 49.
The smallest number of searches, 3% and 4%, were reported to be from those aged 19 and under and 50 and older, respectively.
The research also categorises the concerns for which people sought consultations as Anxiety was 31%, depression was 25%, relationship troubles were 14%, eating disorders were 10%, and other was 20%.
