Audi India expects double-digit sales growth in 2022

Audi India has also stepped closer to its goal to emerge as a sustainable and profitable business

The legendary Audi Q7 becomes Audi India’s first launch of 2022, with several other cars lined up for the year.

Mumbai- 21st February 2022: After a successful 2021, Audi is targeting double-digit growth in 2022 on the back of a strong order bank for existing models in addition to new model launches this year. The German luxury car manufacturer witnessed a 101% growth in sales in 2021 despite the global, semi-conductor shortage and the brutal COVID second wave.

2022 began on a positive note for the brand with the launch of the locally manufactured Audi Q7 on February 03, 2022. The Audi Q7 sits at the heart of Audi’s Q-range (SUV’s) in addition to the other Q models that the brand sells in India including the Audi Q2, locally manufactured Audi Q5, Audi Q8. Audi’s Q range contributes approximately 45% of India’s total sales.

The A-range (sedans) that the brands currently sells in India includes the locally manufactured A4 and A6 and the range topping imported Audi A8 L. Audi also sells performance cars (RS models) including the Audi RS Q8, Audi RS 7, Audi RS5 Sportback and Audi S5 Sportback.

In addition, Audi sells 5 electric cars in the country – making Audi the brand with the widest range of electric cars in country. The company witnessed a phenomenal response from customers and is targeting 15% of its total sales to come from its EVs by 2025.
For 2022, Audi India is confident of double digit sales growth. The brand will launch volume and niche models this year ensuring customers have a wide range of cars to choose from. Audi India has also stepped closer to its goal to emerge as a sustainable and profitable business. With customer-centricity at the heart of every manoeuvre, Audi India will continue its strong focus on Strategy 2025.
