Saisha Foundation to honor Shivshahir Babasaheb Purandare by hosting a tribute show of ‘Sangeet Shivswarajyagatha

Mumbai based, Saisha Foundation, which has been working towards nation-building since 2011, is hosting a tribute show of “Sangeet Shivswarajyagatha”

Mumbai based, Saisha Foundation, which has been working towards nation-building since 2011, is hosting a tribute show of “Sangeet Shivswarajyagatha” on the occasion of the first death anniversary of Padma Vibhushan Maharashtra Bhushan Shivshahir Babasaheb Purandare. 

“Sangeet Shivswarajyagatha” is a grand historical broadway musical based on the life and teachings of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj with 42 new songs specially penned and composed by Shri. Anil Nalawade.

The momentous show will be held at the Royal Opera House, Mumbai, on 15th November 2022. Hon will grace the occasion. Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri.

Eknath Shinde and Dy. Chief Minister Shri. Devendra Fadanvis. The guest of honor at the event will be HH Shri. Babajiraje Bhonsale Chhatrapati of Thanjavur.

Speaking about the show, Writer and Composer Shri Anil Nalawade shared, “We have been lucky to have our show blessed by Shivshahir Babasaheb Purandare.

He had narrated for the show three times previously, and with his insights and anecdotes on the life and teachings of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj had left the audience spellbound.

With the show, we intend to honor his memory and hope that future generations will carry the teachings and learnings ahead.”

Through the musical program Sangeet Shivswarajyagatha, stories of known and unknown warriors of the Shivaji era, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s vision, management, war skills, strategy for public welfare, and more have been highlighted through songs, dances, weaponry demonstrations, and compelling visuals.

Show Director and Narrator Padmashree Rao added, “Sangeet Shivswarajyagatha is presented in Marathi, Hindi, and English to make the young generation today understand our glorious history. We have aimed to keep the identity of Maharashtra’s folk art and tradition alive through song and dance.

At the same time, live weapons demonstrations also show an effective presentation of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s war skills.”
The event is produced and hosted by Saisha Foundation Mumbai. The foundation aims to take the illustrious life and battles of the courage of the Legendary Maratha king in the country and across the globe.
They have marked off this global journey by performing online for audiences in Australia and 11 other countries.
