Ms. Prashanti Malisetti is the Founder and CEO of Pixel Pictures, one of the leading content producers in the South Indian television industry.
Hailing from an entrepreneurial family, Prashanti initially chose the corporate way and paved her way into the financial sector; spent close to a decade as a corporate banker before turning into a full-time entrepreneur.
It was 2010, and Prashanti was ready to sink into a new challenge. While discussing her ideas in a conversation with longtime friend Director Sanjeev K Kumar, she realized how their thoughts aligned and volunteered to intern with him on a few projects.
It was when she got on set that she understood how fascinating the entire process is. Prashanti watched as people created magic out of literally nothing, and observed how driven and tireless every individual is to make a show happen. She realized that she might just have stumbled upon something fascinating and intriguing and got to work on creating what we today know as Pixel Pictures Private Limited.
During the research phase before co-founding Pixel in 2013, Prashanti learned that any format’s sustainability is its most significant success, and bringing in licenses to adapt such shows for the vernacular viewer would be Pixel’s USP, and that is the defining factor till date.
Since then, the company has produced over 1000 hours of content with hit shows like Super Minute, the Kannada adaptation of Endemol Shine’s Minute to Win It; Dancing Star, an adaptation of BBC’s Dancing with the Stars; Family Power, Takadhimitha, Super talk time, Made for each other, etc.; for the Kannada and Malayalam television viewers, under Prashanti’s leadership. The production house has also actively evolved and created original content, crystalizing its position as the industry’s preferred content producer.
Apart from being a passionate entrepreneur and a driving force behind its growth, she loves to play badminton, practice yoga, and enjoy cooking for family and friends at home.
Pixel Pictures, established by Prashanti Malisetti in 2013, is one of the leading media production and content creation studio in the South Indian television industry. It was found to create exclusive content for regional audiences in India.
The production house was one of the earliest companies to adopt international game shows for the Indian market, creating a new reality television trend.
The company began its journey by producing top-rated reality game shows in Kannada. It secured the rights to create other international shows in Kannada and adapt it to a viable format for local audiences in less than a year. The Kannada industry’s success was recognized across South India, enabling the company to expand to Kerala.
Pixel has produced over 1,000 hours of content for Kannada and Malayalam television industries and worked with Viacom18, MMTV, Sun Network, and Zee TV in five years of its existence.

Pixel strongly believes that diversity is the key to its success and ventured into the production of events, award shows, promos, and more.
The company is synonymous with Anubandha Awards and has made the event a hallmark of the Kannada entertainment industry. Pixel was also one of the early adopters of the ‘sante’ and organized and shot these for colors Kannada. In 2019, Pixel expanded its reach further into Malayalam and had also begun exploring non-reality show genres. The company will soon be producing content for Tamil and Telugu industries and venture into making its first-ever fiction series for television.
