Bollywood Director Zaigham Imam in Uttar Pradesh’s “Mission Gaurav”

Will be honoured in the ‘Centenary Year Program’ of the ‘Secondary Education Council’

Mumbai/Delhi: Bollywood film director Zaigham Imam, who raised the country’s flag internationally, has been selected for the Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education’s ambitious program ‘Mission Gaurav Samman’. In the list released by the government, the names of many veteran ministers and governors including President Ram Nath Kovind, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh are also included.

The Board of Secondary Education will honour these stalwarts in its centenary year program in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also be present as the chief guest. Zaigham Imam is the only Bollywood director whose name is in this honour list.

Director Zaigham Imam, who has made sensitive films like Dozakh: in Search of Heaven, Alif and Nakkash, has made his mark at film festivals across the globe through his films. The director, who has won more than a dozen film awards, is currently also a board director at the ‘India International Film Festival of Boston, USA’.
Talking about this achievement, Zaigham Imam said that he has a special connection with Uttar Pradesh and is feeling extremely proud to have been selected for this honour by a renowned educational institution of the country. Zaigham Imam hoped that this move of the Board would give a lot of courage to such budding talents who want to enter the field of film production after their studies.

In this list of UP Board, the names of 79 people from all over Uttar Pradesh are included, which includes the names of personalities who have made special recognition in the fields of art, literature, politics, medicine, education, sports, science etc. at national and international level.
