The No. 1 tour to Bollywood and Europe was a resounding hit

An Evening In Paris’ was possibly the first time we saw Europe on the big screen in Bollywood. Thanks to the famous Yash Chopra, we got to see more of it throughout time. Karan Johar’s love for Europe continued with his passion for London, and in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, having British children sing India’s national song was great!
With films like Tamasha and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobaara, Bollywood began to explore more and more of Europe.

Bollywood and Europe: Lake Alpenrausch, Switzerland

We all wanted to go to Lake Alpenrausch in Switzerland after seeing Sridevi and Rishi Kapoor sing in ‘Chandni.’ Switzerland appeared in practically every Yash Chopra film after that, including “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge,” “Darr,” “Bachna Ae Haseeno,” and “Dhoom 3.” The lake was renamed Chopra Lake as a result.

Bollywood and Europe: Trafalgar Square, London

When we saw Rohan prom to Vande Mataram all around London in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, we, too, wanted to do the exact! Since Amrish Puri fed London ke kabootar at Trafalgar Square in Dilwale Dhulania Le Jaayenge to when Ranbir Kapoor screamed on London roads in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, we’ve caught so extensively of London. Lately, we have visited Shah Rukh Khan sing ‘Challa’ in Jab Tak Hai Jaan. London was an element of films, including Cocktail and Fan. The area has hosted community events and political rallies, including Bloody Sunday in 1887, the culmination of the first Aldermaston March, anti-war protests, and climate change initiatives. Since 1947, Norway has contributed a Christmas tree to the square, which is erected for twelve days before and after Christmas Day. On New Year’s Eve, the square is the focal point of yearly celebrations. It was famous for its feral pigeons until they were eradicated in the early twenty-first century.

Eiffel Tower, Paris

The Eiffel Tower was recently featured in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Befikre. Films like Sangam, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, and Queen featured the French capital.

Bruges, Belgium
Burges, Belgium, was used extensively for PK’s song ‘Chaar Kadam,’ which stars Anushka Sharma and Sushant Singh Rajput. The Market Square, Sint-Jorisstraat, and the Beguinage were all visible.

Costa Brava, Spain
Zindagi Naa Milegi Dobaara inspired us to plan a vacation to Spain, which we will not do, but one may always hope. Costa Brava, Seville, Barcelona, and Pamplona were among the destinations visited by the amusing trio.

Mykonos Island, Greece

Bollywood and Europe: Museumplein, Amsterdam

In the film Hum Tum, Rani Mukerji and Saif Ali Khan teased each other in locations such as the Amsterdam Royal Palace, Aran Pub, Hard Rock Cafe, and Museumplein. Kangana Ranaut most recently performed in Queen’s ‘Hungama Ho Gaya’ at Amsterdam’s ‘NL’ club.

Bollywood and Europe: Corsica, France

‘What occurs in Corsica stays in Corsica,’ as the saying goes. Imtiaz Ali takes us to Corsica in Tamasha, an island on the border of Italy and France, unlike typical France we see in Bollywood movies. The 91-day shoot took held in Grotte di Bonifacio, Restonica Valley, Hotel Demeure Castel Brando, and Place du Donjon, Bastia.

Budapest Chain Bridge, Budapest

‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ was filmed at Budapest’s Liberty Bridge. ‘Raabta,’ starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon, was shot in Budapest, Hungary, in Keleti Train Station, Callas Cafe Restaurant, and Heroes Square. The most notable film shot in Budapest was ‘Hum Dil Chuke Sanam,’ with the conclusion sequence at the Royal Hungarian Opera House and the Budapest Chain Bridge.
