To spread happiness among the underprivileged kids on Children’s Day, one of the fastest-growing ayurvedic personal care brands in the country, The Ayurveda Company (T.A.C) collaborated with Wishes and Blessings, a renowned Delhi-based NGO.
Working compassionately in education, health, and skill development areas. On this occasion, Wishes and Blessings launched ‘Open Pathshala’ programme to make children living in slums school-ready.
Wishes and Blessings, with its 20’ centres across the country, provides the opportunity to make a valuable difference in the lives of underprivileged children who have been denied the most basic right — the Right to Education.
Inspired by their social feats, T.A.C, a value-based brand with clear social objectives, decided to approach Dr. Geetanjali Chopra, founder and president of Wishes and Blessings, to do something valuable for kids on Children’s Day.
Chopra conceived and organised an education-cum-entertainment programme for the children of economically weaker families in Madipur and nearby areas.
The event took place under Madipur Metro Station Gate No. 2 and it was attended by more than 60 students. Besides team members of both organisations, the event was coordinated by experienced volunteers and trainers of Wishes and Blessings.
The highlight of the event was the official launch of Wishes and Blessings’ ‘Open Pathshala’ initiative, a comprehensive educational programme for children of the slum dwellers.
Shreedha Singh, CEO & Co-Founder of The Ayurveda Company (T.A.C) enthusiastically participated in the event where children showcased their hidden talent and creative skills like painting, sculpting, pottery, and singing.
They also enjoyed the magic show where a professional magician conjured happiness and excitement in them. At the conclusion, Shreedha distributed refreshment packs to the children.

While addressing the media on the launch of “Open Pathshala”, Dr Geetanjali Chopra said, “With a vast majority of underprivileged children living in slums and lack of schools in the areas, Wishes and Blessings stays true to its mission of fulfilling dreams and wishes aims to make education accessible to the lesser privileged children through open pathshalas.
We thereby plan to set up an open pathshala in the area to make the children school-ready by focusing on three verticals – education, co-curricular activities (art and craft, dance, yoga, theatre) and nutrition.” “As per The Ministry of Education over 2.9 crore children aged 6-9 years are out of school in the country. With such a gruesome reality facing us, it is imperative to provide children access to education wherever and however we can.
