Swara Nadar etches her name in the India Book of Records

So, her parents used the AI (Artificial Intelligence) - Alexa technique to give her random numbers. One day she started reading 3-digit numbers (above 100); her parents were astounded.

Swara Nadar from grade K2 of Orchids The International School, Tathawade, Pune Branch, is now an Official Record Holder in the India book of Records. 4.9 years old, Swara Nadar etched her name in the prestigious record as the youngest child to write numbers in words from 0-999.

Principal Supriya Jadhav, Orchids The International School, Pune, said, “We are proud of Swara’s achievement. Her passion for numbers amused us in the beginning, and she is getting better every day.

Needless to say, we all are confident she has a very bright future ahead.

We have seen innumerable examples in our school that when kids are given the freedom to explore themselves, they achieve incredible feats.”

Swara is smitten with numbers. She learned to count numbers (1-100) on her own through various online platforms at the age of 3.5 years.

Her teachers were pleasantly surprised by her grip on the subject. Swara has always been good at reading new words using phonetics which further helped her learn numbers from 1-10, so she picked it up, which was incredible for her age.

A big obstacle was making her write the number “10” in words. None of the kids likes to write. Swara’s parents noticed that she enjoyed writing what Alexa (A cloud-based voice service) asked her to.

So, her parents used the AI (Artificial Intelligence) – Alexa technique to give her random numbers. One day she started reading 3-digit numbers (above 100); her parents were astounded.

With little guidance and help, along with parents and teachers, Swara was soon able to recite and write numbers from 0-999.

Orchids The International School (OIS) takes pride in such students, and we believe in nurturing & motivating students to hone their skills.

At OIS, we believe in the holistic development of students. Equal importance is given to academics as well as sports and co-curricular activities.
Recently, OIS started a “Get Fit” program under which the kids are following a daily fitness improvement regime to focus on their athletic side under professional guidance.
