South City International School hosted Fun Fiesta Carnival 2022

Established in 2009, South City International School has always aimed to create a harmonious and stimulating environment in which each pupil is encouraged to develop maximally their intellectual ability and academic performance potential; creative energy; enterprising spirit; physical skills; notions of justice, equity and public morality; affiliation to their cultural roots and heritage; open-mindedness, international and multi-cultural perspective, and a spirit of empathy for the less fortunate, with readiness to work constructively for social good.

The educational institution hosted a Fun Fiesta Carnival 2022 event on November 15th (Tuesday), 2022, for children from multiple schools across the city along with their own.

Several prestigious schools across the co- participated with full fervour.

This carnival’s purpose was to improve overall development’s critical growth by instilling self-esteem, social integration, creative and problem-solving abilities, leadership qualities, cognitive and language skills, and so on for pre-schoolers.

The event included some fun activities with the children while engaging in exciting activities (Toy Rides, Craft Workshop for the children to display their creative talents, Non-Flame Cooking, Tattoo Making, Whishing Tree, Candy Floss, Story Telling, Photo Booth, Disney Characters to interact with and so much more).

Renowned actress Koneenica Banerjee graced the event as the Chief Guest.14 principals from different schools were invited to the event. Mr. Ravi Todi, one of South City International School directors, was also present to encourage all children and lend his support.

“Walt Disney had once said, – Every child is born blessed with an imagination. But, like a muscle grows flabby with disuse, a child’s imagination pales in later years if he ceases to exercise it.”

Mr. Todi commented at the event,

The last two years of the Pandemic had turned the entire world of these children topsy turvy, and living within the four walls, they had completely forgotten how to enjoy themselves. They are gradually bouncing back to normalcy and relearning how to make merry.

Our Fun Fiesta Carnival is an annual program designed for pre-primary students. It is a day dedicated to them.

This year organizing this fun-filled carnival was a humble attempt on our part to bring back the lost joy in the lives of these little ones.

This year too, we had a lot of fun activities like toy rides, craft workshops, story- telling sessions, and many more, for the children, and I am glad they enjoyed themselves to the fullest and returned home with happy faces.
This year around 300 students across Kolkata participated in this carnival. A big thank you to the schools for their participation. We look forward to more students next year. God bless.”

“A child learns best when they are hands-on and receive and absorb information innovatively; in an environment where they can apply what they have learned in a practical platform or understand it with ease without having too much trouble comprehending everything taught”

said the Founding Principal of the school Mr. John Bagul, at the event.
“we have lots of things to learn from kids. Thank you for teaching us daily how to live life at its best. May the child in you continue to live forever and ever. Don’t let the child in you get lost in the hectic life. Celebrate it. Wishing again a very happy children’s day to all.”
