Cambridge International releases results for June 2022 series

At the end of another challenging year for students and schools, thousands of students in India can celebrate this month after receiving their Cambridge International AS & A Level and Cambridge IGCSE exam results.

Cambridge International, part of the University of Cambridge and the largest provider of international education for 3 to 19-year-olds released the results of its June 2022 exam series to Cambridge IGCSE students in India and around the world today. Cambridge International AS & A Level results were released on 11 August.

In total, nearly half a million students worldwide entered Cambridge exams in June 2022, including over 8000 students in India. June 2022 saw 1.4 million entries for Cambridge exams from schools in 147 countries.

Despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, exams went ahead in nearly all countries this year, with more than 220,000 students making entries for Cambridge International AS & A Level and 250,000 students entering Cambridge IGCSE and O Level qualifications globally in June 2022. Where exams could not go ahead because of local Covid-19 restrictions, Cambridge International provided an alternative assessment marked by Cambridge examiners.

Cambridge International engaged with education authorities, governments, and schools worldwide to ensure the June 2022 exam series ran safely and provided support to help students and teachers to adapt the running of exams and other assessments to the disruption caused by Covid-19.

Students in India have been able to gain the qualifications they need to take their next steps, which is a testament to their resilience and the ongoing support of their teachers, families, and communities.

In total, schools in India made almost 19,000 entries for Cambridge IGCSE and over 11,000 entries for Cambridge International AS & A Levels in the June 2022 series.

Mathematics, English (First Language), and Physics were the most popular Cambridge IGCSE subjects, and Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry were the most popular Cambridge International AS & A Level subjects in India.
