The Upcoming ‘Jewellery, Silver, and Exceptional Timepieces’ Auction at AstaGuru

In its next auction, AstaGuru provides an outstanding selection of rare jewellery, old silver, and exceptional timepieces.

The painstakingly curated collection brings together a diverse selection of sophisticated artisanal pieces that are a hallmark of the world’s remarkable design and craftsmanship heritage.

The selection also highlights the legacy of the significant movement that brought about a shift in jewellery tastes and preferences, with various Art Deco items. The auction, which will take place on October 20-21, 2022, will feature 125 pieces for collectors to bid on.

The treasured collection is a true tribute to European design’s rich history and fine craftsmanship.

The lots for sale are excellent examples of jewellery made with a variety of precious gemstones, including natural pearls, fancy bright diamonds, Zambian emeralds, Burmese rubies, and spinels.

Lot 110 is a stunning pair of Art Deco Bajubands set with old cut diamonds and good grade calibre cut real Burmese rubies in a chevron design.

It will be priced between INR 80,000 to INR 1.0 million. Lot 100 is a stunning Art Deco diamond ring set with a large old European cut diamond bordered by four diamond baguettes set in platinum. This lot is predicted to cost between INR 81,00,000 and INR 1,00,000.

Lot 124 is a significant five-row natural pearl necklace with 480 nicely graduated saltwater pearls. It will be priced between INR 2,80,00,000 and INR 3,50,00,000.

Lot no. 116, a beautiful set of natural pearl and diamond ear pendants, is another elegant specimen. It will be available for INR 32,00,000 – 42,00,000 in a cascading chandelier form.

Several breathtaking pieces in diamonds and emeralds are included in the auction catalogue. Lot 53 is a significant suite of emerald and diamond jewellery valued at INR 1,90,00,000 – 2,20,00,000.

The set comprises a lovely necklace and matching ear pendants. Lot 117 is a stunning emerald, diamond, and pearl collar set in an openwork setting. It is projected to cost between INR 65,00,000 and INR 85,00,000 and is reminiscent of traditional Hyderabad regal jewellery.
Rubies, particularly those from Burma, are a very desirable gemstone due to its stunning red hue and enticing lustre. Lot 74 is a stunning five row graduated Burmese ruby bead necklace inspired by Art Deco.
This lot will be presented with a C. Dunaigre, Switzerland, ruby weight certification and is expected to sell for INR 1, 03, 00,000 – 1, 20,00,000. Lot 13 is a set of carved Burmese ruby and diamond jewellery, as well as a pair of matching ear pendants. This lot will be priced between INR 39,00,000 to INR 60,00,000.
A stunning array of jewellery set with magnificent vibrant diamonds will also be available for bidding.
Lot 51 is a significant pair of ear pendants set in a chandelier design with a variety of natural fancy diamond colours, including fancy bright orangy yellow, fancy deep greyish yellowish green, fancy dark brown greenish yellow, and white diamonds. It will be priced between INR 1,22,00,000 and INR 1,50,00,000.
Lot 125 is a significant diamond and elegant brown diamond necklace with an estimated value of $75,000 – $95,000.
The auction will also feature a wide range of stunning designs such as bracelets, brooches, love bands, bangles, and pendants.
Lot no. 80 is one of these, an important diamond bracelet with a Retro style setting. The meticulously created handcrafted gold bracelet features little diamond details in a star shape. It will be priced between INR 63,00,000 and INR 80,00,000.

Lot 85 is a Patek Philippe Aquanaut Wristwatch Ref No. 5167. The Aquanaut caused quite a stir when it first appeared in 1997. This lot is offered with the original box and paperwork for an estimated price of INR 36,50,000 – 40,50,000.
Lot 52 is an 18k White Gold Annual Calendar Ref No. 5146G-001, another product by the firm. This lot is estimated to be worth INR 28,00,000 – 30,00,000 and comes with the original box and documents.
Lot 30 is an 18k White Gold World Time Wristwatch Ref No. 5130-G by Patek Philippe. It will be available with an estimate of INR 26,85,000 – 29,85,000.
The auction will also feature four magnificent timepieces from top brand Audemars Piguet. Possessing an Audemars Piguet means owning horological perfection with exceptional workmanship and expertise.
Lot 115 is a Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph Wristwatch with the reference number 26401.ro.oo.a002.ca.01.
It will be priced between INR 32,00,000 and INR 36,00,000. Lot 95 is a Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph Titanium Wristwatch with the reference number 26400io.oo.a004ca.01. This lot comes with the original box and papers and is expected to sell for INR 30,00,000 – 34,00,000.
Lot 61 is a Royal Oak Dual Time Wristwatch with the reference number 26120or.oo.d002cr.01. This deal includes the original box and system archive and is expected to fetch between INR 29,00,000 and INR 33,00,000.
One of the world’s most famous watch brands, Rolex is known for its radical innovative watchmaking process. Lot no. 123 is an 18k Yellow Gold Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona Wristwatch Ref No. 116508.
More than 50 years after its creation, the Cosmograph Daytona remains in a class of its own among sport chronographs and continues to transcend time.
This lot is presented along with the original box & papers at an estimate of INR 60,00,000 – 65,00,000. Lot no. 118 is an Oystersteel Cosmograph Daytona Wristwatch Ref No. 116500IN.
Estimated to be acquired at INR 19,50,000 – 21,50,000, this lot is presented along with the original box & papers. Lot no. 4 is an 18K Yellow Gold & Diamond Dial Cosmograph Daytona Wristwatch Ref no. 116528.
This lot is presented along with the original box at an estimated price of INR 25,00,000 – 30,00,000.
A good collection of dress timepieces is also up for grabs. Lot 99 is a beautiful Jaeger-Lecoultre Diamond & Emerald Reverso Wristwatch Ref No. 265.1.86.
It was made in 1990 and is expected to fetch between INR 16,00,000 and INR 19,00,000. Lot 70 is a Cartier 18k Rose Gold Ballon Bleu Wristwatch Ref No. WGBB0016.
This lot is valued between INR 9,00,000 and 10,00,000 and will be presented in its original packaging. Lot 111 is a Chopard Geneve Gold & Diamond Wristwatch Ref No. 885 1. It will be priced between INR 7,00,000 and INR 8,00,000.

Highlights From Silver Selection:

The silver collection attests to the skilled metalworking techniques pioneered in India and Europe in the past. Lot 40 is a substantial hallmarked silver trophy with a gold gilded inside.
As stated on the provided lot, the trophy was awarded to the ‘Oldest Car’ as part of the ‘Vintage Car Club of India Trophy.’ It was made about 1929 and will cost between INR 2,98,500 and 3,50,000.
Lot 41 is a Rajasthani antique silver rose water sprinkler set with two imperial lions on a footed tray. It was made about 1750 and is believed to be worth INR 11,00,000 – 15,00,000.
The auction will also feature an intriguing collection of historic silver-plated automotive models.  Lot 121 is a huge vintage silver car model with an estimated value of INR 12,00,000 – 15,00,000.
The roof and bonnet of the silver automobile may be opened to store decanters and other bar-related goods.
