Piyush Goyal, a Union minister, blasts Rahul Gandhi for tweeting, “July is here, where are vaccines?” and labels it “petty politics.”

Piyush Goyal, a Union minister, responded to Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s statement on COVID-19 vaccines on Friday (July 2).

Gandhi, who is active on Twitter and frequently uses the platform to ask Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government, tweeted on the microblogging site, “July has come; vaccinations have not arrived.” He used the hashtag ‘Where Are Vaccines’ to respond to the message.

Minister of Commerce and Industry Retweeted Gandhi’s tweet, slamming the former Congress president for engaging in “petty politics” and announcing that 12 crore vaccination pills will be accessible in July.

“Separate from the supply to private hospitals, 12 crore vaccination doses would be accessible in July. The states were notified about the store 15 days ago. In the fight against COVID, Rahul Gandhi should grasp that petty politics, rather than sincerity, is not the way to go, “Goyal stated in a Hindi tweet.

Dr. Harsh Vardhan, the Union Health Minister, also accused Gandhi of making “irresponsible comments” and avoided further debate on immunization by accusing him of “arrogance.”

“I just published information on vaccination availability for July. What exactly is Rahul Gandhiji’s issue? Is he illiterate? Is he deafeningly deaf? The infection of hubris and stupidity has no vaccine!! Congress must consider a leadership change!” Dr. Vardhan explained.
