Knight Frank, India’s leading real estate consultancy, today announced the appointment of Abhijit Das as Senior Director – East. Abhijit will be leading the company’s business in the eastern region. He will be based in Kolkata.
Knight Frank India’s leadership in the eastern region will get a boost with the appointment of Abhijit Das, an industry stalwart as he takes over the reign.
Based in Kolkata, Abhijit will provide strategic leadership to a team of well experienced real estate experts in the region.

Abhijit has previously led companies like JLL and Cushman & Wakefield, growing their commercial transactions business and generating new business for their facilities management, project management including design and build, research, and consulting verticals.
In terms of real estate transactions, Abhijit specialises in land deals, joint ventures and fund raising, and large format sell and lease transactions in commercial and retail assets.
He also has hands-on experience in residential and hospitality businesses.

Kolkata office market has witnessed a strong growth in the recent quarter with over 300,000 sq. ft of office leasing which doubled year on year.
The growth in the residential market also remained strong aided by the government sop of reduced stamp duty since July 2021.
