KAI Group expands with its 1st manufacturing unit in India

With the vision to contribute to Make In India, Skill In India and Women Empowerment, Kai set its foot in India with its first manufacturing unit spanning over 30,000 M2 area in Neemrana, Rajasthan.

Japan-based KAI Group, a decade-long company is offering high precision beauty and personal care products to Indian consumers adding great value to their daily life.

Since their foundation in 1908, with the patronage of many customers using our products, the Company is currently developing as many as 10,000 product items in Japan and various places around the world ranging from home goods such as kitchen products, confectionery items and beauty care products, to medical products and business-use blades.

With a passion to provide the best quality products to the consumer, Kai continues to individually craft each of its products, starting with its razors, kitchen knives, scissors, and nail clippers.

About Rajesh U. Pandya, Managing Director, Kai India

Mr Rajesh U. Pandya started his career as a buyer/merchandiser purchasing luxury brands from various parts of the world for Japanese consumers. As part of this role, he mastered the art of Heiko-inpoto. He worked in this role for 5 years.

Post this, he spent nearly 8 years in the US and successfully established a business while taking accounts of leading apparel and accessory brands. His business was primarily focused on the local US market while exporting a significant amount of merchandise to Japan.

Mr Pandya was recommended to lead the business in India by an affiliated agency of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Japan. Having interacted with and been impressed by the Vision of Prime Minister Modi, Mr. Pandya decided to take on the role of COO & Managing Director, KAI India to establish and grow KAI India during this period of strong economic growth.

As an avid traveller, Mr Pandya has travelled to over 40 countries which helped him to develop a deep understanding of different cultures and people from various walks of life.
His global perspective coupled with his rich experience of over 3 decades in various markets and industries will help him make India, a key market.
