‘Empowering women is key to building a future we want.’
Kolkata, August 19: International Chamber of Business and Industry (ICBI) hosted a Talk Show on Women Empowerment at a luxurious 5-star property in the city on Thursday (August 18, 2022). A few eminent Bollywood celebrities like Ekta Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu and Pavail Gulati were present for the Talk Show and actively participated in the discussion.
As India progresses economically, there are appeals for the country to pay more thought to social and human development, including Women Empowerment. It is a critical aspect of achieving gender equality, where both men and women have equal power and opportunities for education, healthcare, economic participation, and personal development.
On being asked about her journey, the queen of soap operas – Ekta Kapoor mentioned how she single-handedly earned her stature in the industry. Actress Taapsee Pannu also spoke about her initial days in the cast out from movies because her availability of dates didn’t match those didn’t match with that of her male co-stars.
“Our vision is to become a World Class Centre of Knowledge and learning, providing training, information, and consultation on all aspects of leadership development. We strongly believe that women have the power to make or break an organization and we have been lucky to have some powerful-minded women helping us to build ours” says Mahesh Kedia who was present during the session along with two other Co-Founders Aditya Murarka, and Vishnu Sureka.
