CheQ strengthens its leadership team to support future growth

Bengaluru-based CheQ, India’s first platform for facilitating the discovery, management, and payment of credit products, has named Bipin Toro as Head of Engineering, Akash Kedia as Head of Product, and Viral Bansal as Head of People & Culture.

Bipin Toro has over 24 years of expertise in the fintech and loyalty industries, having been a member of the founding/leadership teams of startups such as Reward360 and other development stage firms, establishing large-scale product platforms and assembling strong engineering and operations teams.

“The engineering team’s objective will be to abstract the complexities of the repayment labyrinth and give a straightforward tale to the consumer to manage and develop credit,”

Bipin added.

Akash Kedia, a former Flipkart employee, joins CheQ from Trade Republic in Germany, where he oversaw expansion for the EU’s largest neo broker.

In terms of applying his extensive experience in payments and martech to CheQ,

“Credit and money are typically difficult topics for Indians to understand due to hidden facts and intricacies. CheQ’s mission is to bring more transparency and simplicity to the credit industry in India by focusing on technology and products first. I am excited about growing our reach and assisting consumers in realising the full value of their credit products.”

Viral Bansal joins CheQ from Genpact, where he led a high-performance ecosystem of talent, culture, process, technology, and analytics for 16 years.

Viral expressed his enthusiasm for starting an organization from the beginning, saying,

Aditya Soni founded CheQ in Bangalore in January 2022.

The company is developing India’s first credit management platform with the goal of making credit product discovery and management easier.

CheQ takes pride in its core values and places a heavy emphasis on assembling a team with complementary strengths who will direct the firm using these shared values as moral and operational compasses.
