J. K. Rowling is a British novelist, philanthropist, screenwriter, film producer, and television producer.
Her most famous work is the Harry Potter fantasy series, which has received several accolades and sold over 500 million images, making it the best-selling album series in history.
In addition, Rowling had a total clearance on the screenplays and was a producer on the final films, and the books form the foundation for a famous film series. Under the pen name Robert Galbraith, she also writes mystery novels.
The Christmas Pig, JK Rowling’s latest children’s novel, is released in October of this year. The author recently shared the cover of her new book, which was drawn by Jim Field, on social media. Here’s what Rowling had to tell about it: The full-color, gold-foiled jacket and the beautiful cover beneath it are both illustrated by Field.
According to The Bookseller, he has also presented nine black and white spreads and design aspects for the inside, some of which will be unveiled as part of the pre-publication promotion.
The Christmas Pig follows Jack as he tries to reclaim his childhood toy, Dur Pig. The single narrative is for children aged eight and up.
According to The Bookseller, Rowling remarked of Jim Field’s drawings, “Jim’s pictures are wonderful.” It’s as if he crawled inside my mind and sketched what he saw there. I couldn’t stop myself from gasping when I saw one specific image — I can’t tell which one without giving anything away — since it was such an excellent portrayal of one of my favorite scenes.”
