MAKAUT Has Inaugurated the Stall at the Kolkata International Book Fair 2022

Kolkata, 1st March, 2022: After a long gap for the ongoing pandemic, this year again Kolkata is hosting the Annual International Book Fair, bringing cheers to the book lovers and Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal has come up to put a smile on the faces of those book enthusiasts at this year International Kolkata Book Fair, 2022 through their stall.

Come and visit the stall of MAKAUT at the book fair. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated the 45th International Kolkata Book Fair (IKBF) on 28th February 2022, Monday.

This year, the Kolkata Book Fair has Bangladesh as the theme country as it enters its 50th year of its liberation from Pakistan. MAKAUT Stall No. is 401, opposite HSBC Bank Gate No. 6.The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Saikat Maitra has inaugurated the stall.

MAKAUT Publications presents Stalwarts of Statistics (Volume – 1) – an edited book with chapters contributed exclusively by the students of MSc in Applied Statistics and Analytics (2020-22). Ceremonial Book launch by the Honorable Vice Chancellor, MAKAUT, WB on 5th March, Saturday, 6PM at the Kolkata International Book Fair in the stall no – 401.

About MAKAUT

The University came into operation formally with the assumption of the office of the first Vice Chancellor on January 15, 2001 as a sequel to the promulgation of THE WEST BENGAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY ACT, 2001, under West Bengal Act XV of 2000 passed by the West Bengal Legislature. The University started its academic programme, from July 16, 2001 following a Notification from the Department of Higher Education; Government of West Bengal dated June 15, 2001 through the affiliation of Engineering and Management Institutions / Colleges and has entered the eighteen years of its functioning.
The University is included in Section 2F and also in Section 12B of UGC and recipient of UGC Grant. The University wants to grow nurturing innovative / novel ideas that would touch all segments of the society especially the marginalized ones. We look at technology from a broad social perspective and are organizing postgraduate courses in basic and applied sciences. The University has introduced new courses in emerging areas to develop, enhance and higher education.
