Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Remembering him on National advocate day. National advocate day is celebrated on 3 rd December 2020 worldwide. Lawyers throughout the world signify this day to be of prime importance and devote it to themself. They are ranked as number one professionals throughout the globe. A lawyer can be a peacemaker in a conflict or can make you win. The day aims explicitly to make lawyers feel appreciated and loved. During this day, people are encouraged to offer appreciation and love to the kind gesture of lawyers who take up all the pain to fight for your case to make you win.

Advocate day is celebrated in India by the lawyer community on the 3rd of December to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first president of India and a very eminent lawyer himself. There are specific seminars and programs on the legal fraternity issues, but it doesn’t mean you get a leave on that day. This important day should be celebrated uniformly across the country.

About Dr. Rajendra Prasad

Dr. Rajendra Prasad was elected the first President of India after the adoption of the Constitution in 1950. However, the real power was given to Mr. Jawaharlal Nehru as the Prime Minister of the country. Dr. Prasad contributed immensely towards the development of education for the youth and advised the government about the right way to create awareness about education. 

Dr. Rajendra Prasad was born on 3 rd December 1884. Having graduated from the school, he studied in presidency college at Calcutta. Initially, he was a science student and completed his M.A in economics, and started teaching. In 1909 Prasad decided to pursue law studies. He completed his Bachelor’s in 1910 and master’s in 1915, receiving a gold medal. Prasad joined the high court of Bihar and Odisha. Dr. Prasad’s career as a lawyer was quite impressive. In 1920 he decided to retire to aid the independence movement. He completed his Doctorate in Law, receiving a degree from Allahabad University.

So this day is dedicated to him countrywide to create an awareness of the law in our country. To honor Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the advocate day was celebrated countrywide.
