Jammu & Kashmir, popularly known as the Crown of India, is India’s northernmost state. Kashmir is known as the Paradise on Earth because of its stunning natural splendour.

Despite the occasional political upheavals, this magnificent kingdom is a visual delight. As you reach this valley, the people have a lovely inviting attitude that makes you feel safe and welcome right away.

It is still one of India’s most gorgeous tourist spots. It has everything a nature lover could want, from snow-capped mountains to flowing streams, lakes, and beautiful green gardens. It appears to be lovely and spectacular all year. Winter in Kashmir, on the other hand, is a unique experience.

Winters in the Valley see snowfall, and the entire Pir Panjal range is covered in snow, making winters the finest season to visit here. The greatest time to visit is in the winter is from January through March. In regions like Gulmarg and Sonmarg, there will be ample snow during this period. Despite the cold, this is by far the warmest experience I’ve will ever have.

Places like Gulmarg, Avantiswamin temple, Kheer Bhawani Temple Kashmiri Pandit, Hazratbal road and Lal Chowk are must visit places in Kashmir. There are a variety of goods that are only found here. Pashmina shawls and stoles are famous here. So make sure you purchase one for your friends and family. A spice connoisseur should pay a visit to Maharaja marketplace to obtain some genuine Kashmiri spices and red chilies. You can get pure saffron in Kashmir, as it is one of the few areas in the world where it is grown. Srinaga’s major market, Lal Chowk. Skiing in Gulmarg, white water rafting in Pahalgam, and sledding in Sonmarg are all options for thrill seekers.
