There seems to be a splurge of digital content that has struck the OTT platform scenario. Web series are ruling the roost, and most significant players are frequently on the lookout for original, fast-paced content. While some web series do tilt towards colorful language and titillating scenes to entice the audience, it is always great content that hits more eyeballs.
The creative heads of the OTT platforms are continually zooming in for stories that have proved to be hit with the audiences; in some cases, the readers. Dramatization and adaptations of novels are safer bets. One such author seems to have made a breakthrough by having just released his first e-book series. Noted media person, social media influencer Aryeman has now turned full-time author. With almost seven books in his kitty, his fiction journey proved that originality sells.
In a free-wheeling chat with the author, Aryeman confessed to Prittle Prattle News, “The pandemic allowed me to complete most of my books which I had kept aside for a long time. Initially, I started with non-fiction, and the response was encouraging. My first fiction book was ‘Deceptive Suicide,’ which has a different take from the real-life scenario.”
So how did the ‘Detective Atharvaa Investigates’ series come about? Aryeman has been associated with leading gossip magazines and print media, so somehow he knows what interest the audiences. “There has to be a spice element that not just entertains the readers but also tempts them to finish the book. I curated Detective Atharvaa since I wanted to shift the paradigm from the usual local cop hero story. Detective Atharvaa is suave, classy and the cases he handles are high-profile and highly confidential.”
The first book in the series is titled ‘Paedophilic Progeny’ is a short read which you would complete reading in forty minutes flat. The response has been tremendous, and there is also buzz that offers for the digital rights have already trickled in. Aryeman confirms the same and elaborates, “There have been two offers for digital rights. However, I want to release the second installment of the series, ‘The Malhotra Mansion Murders,’ set in Dubai. The game plan for the next books that rollout has already been chalked out, so adapting them to the digital format won’t be difficult. Your story-telling and narrative have to be pitch-perfect, without any loopholes or unanswered questions and captivatingly engrossing.”
