‘Karu’ presents ‘Gauda 2022’

‘Karu’ presents ‘Gauda’- a festival in Kolkata that seeks to present art, design and ideas which celebrate the heritage of ancient Bengal. It is an attempt to discover the Bengal of yore lost to the ravages of time and conquest — a hallowed abode of vitality and knowledge.

The event is scheduled to take place from 12-13 March, 2022, at Daga Nikunj, Ballygunge, with the support of the Alka Jalan Foundation.

The festival will showcase art, fashion, jewellery and lifestyle accessories presented by designers, brands, artists and performers. Across the days, talks, debates and dialogues between scholars, thinkers and educators will help visitors rediscover classical Bengal.

Each day will see the venue come alive to the music and dance of the verdant Eastern Indian plains.

A perfect place to enable audiences to engage in innovative ways with the cultural history of Bengal… A Bengal that was truly golden…..
