Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy chaired a review meeting with the housing department on the progress of the ongoing housing works. Officials said that as per the orders given in the last meeting – land leveling, filling, and construction works of internal roads and godowns are being taken up. The Chief Minister directed the officials to follow the prescribed SOPs and expedite the completion of the construction of houses selected under Option-3. Instructions are also being given to the officials to try and clear the house titles in court case disputes by the end of this month

FOCUS ON BASIC NECESSITIES SHOULD BE GIVEN TOP PRIORITY: CM JAGAN MOHAN REDDY
While constructing houses, the officials have been instructed to focus on minimum infrastructure needs like the Drainage system, electricity and water supply should be given top priority in Jagananna Colonies. CM Jagan Mohan Reddy further added that there should be no compromise in quality. “Municipalities are being formed together in some places in the form of Jagan anna colonies. There should be a special plan for infrastructure development, civic services etc. in such places” CM Jagan Mohan Reddy said

CM Jagan Mohan Reddy further reviewed the distribution of house sites within 90 days. CM Jagan Mohan Reddy directed the officials that the beneficiary should not only get the house title but also direct them to the house allotted. CM Jagan Mohan Reddy instructed the officials to take confirmation from the beneficiaries that the land and the land title have been handed over to them.
